Answer Let, other diagonal = 2x cm. Since halves of diagonal and one side of a rhombus form a right angle triangle with side as hypotenuse, we have: `(20)^2 = (12)^2 + x^2 or x = sqrt((20))^2 - (12)^2` `= sqrt(256) = 16 cm.` :. Other diagonal = 32 cm. :. Area of the rhombus` = 1/2 xx` (product of diagonals) `= (1/2 xx 24 xx 32) cm^2 = 384 cm^2`
